I'm trying to lose 10-12kg, lost about 5 till now.
I just want to vent about how hard and physic's defiant this is. On most days I eat about 1400 kcal - I'm 5'7 so I am usually too hungry at 1200kcal but have achieved them on a few days. I work out for an hour every other day (beginner HIIT + bike/running). Yet it takes anywhere between 3-6 weeks for me to shed a single kilo. Idk how that's possible on these calories for a relatively tall gal.
If I eat maintenance (around 2000kcal) for a day or two on an event or just wanting to go for a normal dinner with my fiance once a week, I IMMEDIATELY jump up by 0,5 - 1 kg on the scale. And no, it's not water, it takes me another 3-4 weeks to shed this. I weigh all my food and count everything, except on events, where I estimate, but I go to 1200 kcal for a day or two after them to compensate.
Also, the exercise is not doing anything for me except making me tired and hungry - well, there's one positive, my back is not hurting, which is great - but there's no difference in kilos, in cm, nothing. I don't see any of the beautiful progress others are sharing, even though I sweat and pant like crazy during my exercises and my muscles hurt the other day, so I am not slacking :(
I know that if I stick with this it WILL work but right now about the 73kg where I am, I'm here for too long and its a fight for every 100grams or 0,5 cm of progress it seems.
For the first three kilos (78 > 75) I ate 1600-1800 kcal and didn't exercise and yet I lost them easily in 2 months! Now it takes me the same time to lose 2kg on 1200-1400 kcal and exercising? Seems impossible :(
