I'm looking for some advice or encouragement on how to kick myself back in to gear.
Pre-quarantine I was down to 285 or so from an old maximum of 360 about 2 years ago.
My routine included a Lacrosse league, a personal trainer twice a week, and I had done the C25K program and run a couple of 5k races. Also I can walk back and forth from work and was averaging 15-20k steps a day.
Then come February, I got really sick, I don't think it was Covid but it was at least pneumonia and sick for like 2 months. Then obviously the stuff everyone is facing, gyms are closed, sports are cancelled, working from home, living downtown in a major city and knew I was very vulnerable to Covid stuff since I'd been sick so long.
Now I'm trying to get back on track after being just a wreck for a while and I've put back on about 40lbs and I'm having trouble walking 30 minutes let alone running for 30 minutes.
Getting food back on track, but for my workplace I'll be doing work from home for another few months at least.
Wondering if anyone else is in a similar situation and how to kind of deal with the frustration and set back, It took the better part of 2 years to get like halfway to a goal, and in about 3-4 months it feels like an almost total reset and feels like I'm starting over without a lot of the resources and routines available.
Any advice or thought?
