I posted a little over 2 weeks ago about helping my husband lose weight, and we’ve been good about it minus one drinking night and following post hangover cheat day. He is down a full 10lbs since a little over 2 weeks. We’re now sharing my MFP account with him logging the things he’s started cooking for himself.
Just as a side he is not as concerned with accuracy as I am. I’ll see him log things in volume or log large eggs as medium eggs. He’s taken to getting lower-cal subway sandwiches when I’m not around to full on cook for him, which is fine, but one must assume that subway is under-counting their calories because each sandwich made will never have the exact same amount of ingredients. So my husband’s justification for his lazy logging is that because he has a 100-200 calories left over each day, his loose calorie counting will even out in the end. I personally disagree, mostly because when I was counting calories myself I had such a small budget to work with. But his is much larger and I don’t want to put him off CICO by being an unnecessary hard ass (so far) since he’s getting the idea. This is just more of a note for those who are doing CICO and are not seeing the scale move. Accuracy will only get more important the more weight you lose and therefore your body starts needing less calories to lose more weight.
