Diet break question, maintenance or maintenance + Burned

Hi guys,

First time posting here, here's a little intro / context :

Hi my name is Sam, in the past year I made a decision to change my lifestyle, 12 months later, 160 lbs down & an ENTIRELY new physique later I'm extremely happy with this change and wouldn't change it for the world!

So here's the question. As of late I've noticed significant energy changes. I feel tired, lethargic and flat in my cardio & workouts. So I started doing some research & it seemed more than anything a diet break is exactly what I need. Rejig the hormones, re balance some things fend off some of the cravings give my body a break & give myself a bit of a mental break from counting macro etc.

When conducting a break, should I eat strictly to my basal TDEE OR Should I eat to my TDEE + any burned calories. Reason I ask if I'm looking at conducting this break for 2 weeks starting next week as I've been allocated 10 days off of work, so am likely to spend my days off cycling around my local commons / woodlands. This will likely equate to 3 hours average a day, so I'm wondering will I need to eat to that new "maintenance" or just keep it to the strict 2200 kcals as per a TDEE calc on my "Normal" inactive days. I want to ensure this break is executed to its maximum potential!

Any advice or help would be very much appreciated as I really can't decipher the literature around this program! Some guides say to FULL maintenance, some guides say cut down on cardio / workouts & just eat to sedentary TDEE & others say eat usual TDEE & don't worry about potential burned calories so I'm at a loss!

Many thanks!
