How do i get back on track?

Long story short something bad happened and i turned to food again for comfort. I used to treat my diet like this "i love working out and to do it better i have to get in shape". Well, unfortunately i tore my acl so i wont be able to run and the gym is closed so no more weight lifting either. So motivation is low right now but earlier i tried to put on my shorts and it doesn't fit anymore! And i need to get back on track. My issue is definitely stress eating. Therapy is not possible right now because the covid in my country has gotten really bad again so pretty much everything is closed. Please i need advice/reassurance or tell me if you've experienced something like this too. Thankyou!

i’m scared i lost too much weight and have plateaued.

  • edit: too much weight at once ^

hi! My starting weight around November 5th-15th of 2020 was around 315 give or take 5 pounds. I was too scared to face the scale so i didn’t weigh myself until December and I weighed in at 281 for a loss of about 40 pounds. The lowest I got to was 264 in February, and then I went off the rails but was able to maintain my weight. I weighed 258 In June. It’s now July 29th and I weighed 258 at my dr’s. appt on the 16th. I started a calorie goal of 2000 cal/per day for an entire month started very late may/early june, and maintained my weight. I’m now eating 1800 cals a day and I think I’m losing again. This time, I just want to have a goal attainable enough to maintain my weight when i’m finished losing. When I started in November, I tended to starve myself because where I lived at the time only had junk food and I wasn’t going to put that in my body, but when I moved out in dec I still only ate 1200-1800 cals a day until feb. I think the reason I lost so much so quick was because I didn’t stay consistent with my calories and when I did it was too low of a start and I didn’t give myself room to lower when needed. Should I continue my calorie goal of 1800? My height is 5’4 and I’m a female. I’m currently 257 pounds and my goal weight is 200 for now.

Struggling with constant plateaus

Edit: 6’0 / 30 / M

I began in 11/2020 at 260lbs and I am now down to ~215lbs. Getting past 225 was tough but now I only see myself losing a lb or two a month. I am at a 500 calorie deficit and my diet is usually fairly good. Protein smoothies, grilled chicken, lean meat, sugar free / 0cal soda and syrups, occasional lean cuisine (sodium is high so I try to avoid them), fruits/veggies everyday etc. i also weigh my food.

Supplements: Creatine / Vitamin D.

I’m in the gym 6 days a week doing PPL. I did upper/lower prior and full body.

For cardio I do a variety of things as it is my biggest struggle even if I watch a show or listen to a podcast. Usually 15 mins on a rowing machine / treadmill.

I know I could improve my cardio but getting it done is extremely tough. I’ve done walks outside, elliptical, treadmill, cycling machines, swimming, trampolines, etc. Only thing I haven’t tried is biking and jump rope. If I could distract myself mentally more I know I could easily hit 30 mins rowing but again out of strategies for that. My goal weight is 185 and I’d really love any advice getting there.

Thanks in advance for any help/reading!

So I broke my leg when I just restarted my weight loss journey. Advice on how to keep up, or at least not starting gaining weight again?

I’m a 5’5 female, 250 pounds which I’m desperate to change. I lost a lot of weight last year but packed it back on when I lost track during a stressful situation. I had already lost 10 pounds the last month or so but just as the caption says, I broke my leg on vacation earlier this week and don’t want to lose progress. It’s gonna be a 4-6 week ordeal of mostly resting in bed. Of course I don’t want to restrict a ton because it’s important to be nourished right now, not sure how possible actual weight loss is, but advice on how to continue that or maintain would be appreciated. How much to lower my deficit, what to eat that’ll satisfy me but not overdo it, all would be appreciated. Thanks!

frequent backpain since loosing a lot of weight

so 2 years ago i decided to start to loose weight, i was almost 400 pounds, and honestly never had such back pain when i was that big till now, i lost over 200 pounds in 2 years, i did this with mainly a lot of cardio exercise and dieting, i ran, biked, used stationary bikes and treadmills since then during the last year i notice i start getting sore easily, mostly my back, i notice standing for long periods of time and sitting long periods of time id start do get really bad back pain at the mid back or lower back, my job requires me to stand alot and i worked the same job when i was really big, the issue when i was big wasn't really much back pain from standing but feet and legs being sore and tired. i have a healthy diet that i been using since i use to see a nutritionist, i take daily vitamins , i seen a doctor for my back pain and gotten xrays and they found nothing wrong with my spine.

30 Day Accountability Challenge - Day 29

Hello losers,

Thursday Thursday Thursday. It's hot & my skin is pissed off about existing as epidermis.

Weigh in daily, enter in Libra & remove moral judgement/stigma/shame directed at yourself about it: Logged this morning. Progress over perfection. Having a streak of really not digging the scale lately. Please remember to be kind to yourself. You are more than the number on the scale & your weight is not tied to what you are worth as a person.

1800 calories (tracking in 5-day cycles, Friday/Saturday at maintenance): Got it today. Hard little unripe stone fruit making me sad. STILL. Someone come sing to the unripe peaches.

Exercise 5 days a week: 30 minute lunch walk & vigorous errands. 24/29 days.

Alone time to word vomit into journal: Going to make time for this after dinner.

Todays gratitude list: Today I’m grateful for active wear crop tops (really nice way to not wear a bra), new loofah sponges, Tiktok for making me laugh & the box of reclaimed organic (ugly) produce that comes to my door.

Your turn kids!

Weird problem(Can easily maintain weight at 2000 calories but I only lose weight at 800-1000 calories or with intense workout aka under extreme conditions).

I know it may sound ridiculous and you all gonna say that I do something wrong but hear me out.

In 2018 I went from size 12 to size 8-6 and I was like 155lb at my lowest. Eventually in 2019 I regained 7-10 back and I tried to get rid of the weight by using the same technique as I used before ( calories deficit) . My body lost like 3lb ( I assumed water or whatever) and then refused to lose fat at all, the weight scale hasn't moved at all. So it was like that for 6 months until I tried fasting and now I'm 166lb, I lost some weight.

Now even OMAD doesn't help, I had two simillar days in a row where I did OMAD with a normal dinner without sweets(woke up with the same scale numbers), on the day where I weighed myself I ate breakfast and heavier dinner and I woke up having the same numbers. Now y'all gonna say the weight fluctuates and all, but if the weight scale doesn't move then it doesn't move meaning I haven't lost anything, I know my body, I have been weighing myself everyday since 2018.

So I notice that I can easily maintain weight at 2000 calories, but I only lose weight if I either do very intense work out or eat 800-1000 calories. Has anyone experienced that...?
